First two weeks!

We have survived the first two weeks with two kids! Mostly thanks to our parents! :) So far everybody is adjusting pretty well to the new member of our household! Micah really likes Riley and always wants to rock him and cover him with blankets. Most of the time he's a pretty good big brother!
Hangin' out together!

Mommy and her boys! This was right after I got up one morning, so not my greatest picture of all!

We have been doing (well, honestly, not me but everyone else!) some yardwork and Micah LOVES to help, aka play in the dirt!

"Baby Ry" as Micah calls him! Seriously, newborns sleeping are so cute!

A little milk drunk and squishy faced!

On this past Saturday evening we had a campfire in our backyard for the first time! It was a little warm for it, but we had fun all the same! Micah had a great time roasting his own hotdog for the first time! Riley (in the background) just slept through all the excitement! :)

Eating his hotdog! Yummy!

Little Riley is growing up so fast already! He is staying awake a lot longer and being as cute as ever!

Whoa! A little cross eyed!

We are enjoying our new addition a lot! He is eating well and gaining weight, and slept for four hours in a row last night! :) We celebrate the little things around here! We have made it out of the house a couple times now and are starting to get into a bit of a routine, but are mostly enjoying our family time!

Introducing....

...Riley Alan Davis!
Born on July 15th (my parents 40th anniversary!) at 2:21am. Weighed in at 7lb 6oz and 20 inches long! He was awake and SO calm at first!

Just a few minutes after he was born! This delivery was SOO much faster and easier than with Micah!

Daddy getting to hold him for the first time! Yeah, it was the middle of the night, we both look a little tired!

First picture of our new family of four! Micah wasn't too sure about Riley at first, but since then is becoming a great big brother!

Look who's awake! Everyone is saying he looks like me, but I think I'm too close to the situation to see it. Who knows?

Sleepy time! You can tell we live in California and that it's warm!

After his first bath! He didn't fuss at all during the bath, but did manage to poop RIGHT after putting on his clean diaper!

Just hanging out and doing some tummy time! So far he is a pretty relaxed baby, though when he does get upset he goes from 0-screaming in about a second....and then stops just as quickly and falls asleep. It pretty funny! He's sleeping good so far at night, only wakes up once in the middle of the night (after a late night feeding) and then eats again around 5:30-6. Not too bad!
Micah seems to like him and asks to hold baby bruder all the time (though it usually only lasts for about 10 seconds)! We are so happy he is here...and being a little early always is nice! Welcome to our family Riley Racoon!

A few things...

We are still adjusting to the high temperatures here in Fresno, but have found a few things so far that we are definitely enjoying about living here! Here are some pictures to highlight a few of them!
Splash parks! We have only found two, and they're on the other side of town, but still really nice on a hot evening! Every time Micah sees a fountain or anything now he calls it a splash park.

This is two-fold. We have a wonderful neighbor, who happens to be 89 years old, that gave me a BIG bag of plums from his daughter's tree! I still haven't used all of them, but decided to try out my food dehydrator on them. They are really yummy! Beautiful bright red color too!

Micah has REALLY been enjoying all the fresh fruit we have...as well as helping out in the kitchen ALL the time. Very cute, but sometimes VERY in the way! :)
My pretty porch lights! I always thought it would be fun to have a porch you could use most of the year, and now we have one!

Micah's pool has been very nice! He loves to play in it, and I love to cool off in it before bed at night on the really hot days!

Have I mentioned how much we are LOVING all the fresh, and cheap produce around here??!! It's hard to beat fresh squeezed orange juice in the mornings!

Overall, we are starting to adjust to life here and figure out where everything is. The heat this week (over 100 every day) has been a bit much, but we are staying cool inside for the most part! (Except when the power goes out like it did last night!) I promise I'll post some house pictures soon...
