Amber waves of grain...

I have been trying do this blog for months now. Eric finally editted the pictures for me so I could use them, but for the past few days I have been unable to upload ANY of them except for this one. So this is what you get! At least it's a cute one, right?

As much as we didn't like Pullman when we first moved here because all there is for miles is wheat fields, I will definitely miss them when we leave! They are beautiful in the spring and summer! I could never relate to the words "amber waves of grain" (from America the Beautiful) until we moved here. Though it goes back to brown, dirt hills after a couple months, there is nothing quite like the rolling hills of the Palouse in the late summer! And the cute little guy just makes it even better!

Pumpkin patch!

Last weekend (as in a week ago, not yesterday) my parents came up for a quick visit and we all went up to Spokane and met up with my sister at Green Bluff. It was a B-E-A-Utiful day for it! We only went to two of the farms (there are over 20) but that was enough for one day!

The first farm we went to had a great corn maze with a castle in it...but it was VERY expensive ($13 per person!) so we just enjoyed it from the outside!

Micah and his cousin Megan sitting in a wagon. If you look in the back there are huge bags of kettle corn! They smelled so good!

The search for the perfect pumpkin begins! He just wandered around to the different "balls" looking at them and trying to pick them all up. What can I say, he really likes balls!

How about this one mommy?
He tried really hard to pick this one up, but it was too heavy. :)

This one was a little more his size, but a little funny shaped. We looked for a while, but somehow I missed getting a picture of him with the one he picked. OH well. :)

Family picture! This kid does NOT like to be held down for pictures and jumped out of my lap about two seconds after this was taken. Success in my book!

The next farm we went to had an awesome "pea"box! He sat and played in there for a long time with the dump trucks!

There was also a petting zoo with a sheep, llama, cats, chickens, ducks, a goat, bunnies and a cow! He REALLY liked the animals and was brave enough to pet a few of them! This sheep was really greedy and kept trying to eat all of the grain we had for the other animals.

Petting the baby cow! All the animals (except the greedy sheep) were really calm which was nice for his first time around them! I don't think he wanted to leave...

Somehow I didn't end up with any pictures of Papa and Mima, but they were there with us, I promise! It was a great day with the family! Happy Fall!
