Where does the time go??? Our little man turns TWO today!
We had a birthday party at the park by our house on Saturday with some family and friends to celebrate the big day! The party theme was "Elmo" which was very exciting for him! I made the elmo cake and when he saw it he got SO excited! It turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day and we had a great time!
Party food (elmo cake, cupcakes, elmo fruit tray and "dorthy" fish snacks)
It's hard to believe he is two already, but here are some things we are enjoying about his age right now!
- He LOVES trucks, tractors, buses, planes, etc and calls them out EVERY time he sees them as we drive in the car.
- Whenever he sees the trucks his voice seriously lowers an octave and he says "Bi twuck!"
- He surprises us every day with the new words and information he learns!
- He is a bookworm! He loves to sit and read by himself, but especially loves when we read to him.
- He loves to just sit in his room and listen to "TT" (GT Bible songs). He'll sit there for 30 minutes at a time!
- He loves to read "Bible Tories" (Bible Stories) from his picture Bible
- He is very polite. Says thank you, bless you and excuse me without being asked.
- He LOVES to help us with whatever we are doing (dishes, cooking, sweeping the floor).
- He says "oh man!" all the time, and uses it appropriately. :)
- He is so curious and excited about everything and constantly asks questions.
- He loves to play outside...all day if possible!
- When he wakes up in the morning or naps he goes through a list of everyone and asks where they are..."wer daddy go? Wer papa go? Wer mema (emma) go?"
- He loves to sing and listen to music. When we rock before bed he says "mommy sing? Mommy pick one?" because he wants me to pick the song.
- Some of his favorite songs are "dingo" (bingo), EIEIO (old mcdonald), "abcr" (the abc's), "shine" (this little light of mine), and "bible" (jesus loves me).
- He counts to ten "one, two, tree (sometimes), pour, pive, sis, eigh, nine, ten!" (yes seven is missing on purpose).
- He really likes to "duder" (color) and "pain" (paint) and play with "paydoh".
- There is nothing sweeter than tucking him in at night and having him say "ni mommy" and "wuv wu" (love you).
- Ever since Uncle Scott visited for Eric's graduation, he constantly asks: "Unc Dot doe?"
Happy 2nd Birthday Micah!
