...our little Micah was born! It's hard to believe it has been a year already since he was put into my arms for the first time (still all covered in yuckiness, but looking so cute at the same time!). He was so tiny...and so much less active. :) But I wouldn't trade our happy, active little guy for anything!
What a difference a year can make! Micah is so happy and smiley and never stops going! A year ago he would sleep the day away...and now I'm happy if he takes two naps! He makes us laugh and smile constantly (even when he throws little tantrums...though I know that won't always be so cute or funny) and can make a bad day so much better just with one smile or laugh! He is becoming a bit more stubborn (not sure where that could have come from...:) ) and has started testing the limits, but overall he is a wonderful little boy! He is walking all over the place, babbles contstantly and is slightly obsessed with balls. :) He loves to play outside and loves the dirt (like all boys) and loves to eat veggies, cheese and bread. He doesn't sit still long enough to cuddle with you unless you have food (or he just got hurt) so we treasure those moments when we get them! He is just so cute that he makes your cheeks hurt from smiling so much! He still loves to read, though he is picky about which books. Some of his favorites are "The Bear Snores On", "Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?", "Goodnight Moon", and "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."
He makes the funniest little faces, one of which is his "squinty face" where he smiles big and squints his eyes tight. It's very cute...and he knows it! He is learning to say "all done" and "please" in sign language and we are working on "thank you" and a few others. He loves his sleep and can fall asleep anywhere, anytime (got that from daddy) in seconds! And there is nothing better than being greeted each morning with such a happy smile from someone who loves you so much! What a year!
Happy First Birthday, Micah! We love you so much and look forward to all the new experiences the next year will bring!

Molly, that is a nice summary of your little sweetheart. It is good to have those memories in print, along with the adorable pictures. He is a cutie. Looking forward to meeting Emma :-)

Happy Birthday Micah! I guess we are doing birthday greetings via blog now a days huh? ;-) Does he want a hungry caterpillar stuffed? Joel does not like his because it does not have a tail to rub under his nose:) If there was one thing to ever get a kid, it is dirt (ie. sandbox) keeps 'em entertained for literally hours...even when they are 8 still seeing it !

Hope the birthday party was fun, sorry we missed it! Totally spaced talking to my hubby about it and then our Saturday plans were underway before I remembered!
