Letter to Micah

Micah,

You are almost 8 months old! The time has gone by so fast and it’s amazing to see how much you have been changing lately! You have started scooting around (and you are getting pretty fast!) and have found all kinds of things to get into! The other day you scooted right out of your pants, which made daddy and I laugh a lot! I think you will be crawling soon, which just means you’ll be even faster to get into trouble. 

You are still such a sweet and smiley little guy and it is so cute to walk into your room every morning and be greeted with a big grin! However, though you are still good natured, you are also starting to show some attitude and independence. Right now the little fits you throw are still kind of cute, but I know that won’t last! 

You are now taking baths in the “big boy” bathtub and you LOVE it! The rubber ducks are your favorites right now, but you are starting to find that splashing is pretty fun too! During your last bath you just kept splashing and laughing so hard every time! You have been eating more solid foods and you really like it! Your favorites so far seems to be the pears, peas and sweet potatoes. We are still trying to teach you how to use a sippy cup, but you sure like playing with them!

You just had your first Christmas, and your favorite things were of course the paper and ribbons! You got a lot of fun toys and have been enjoying playing with them. The one you seem to like the best is a pretend camera that sings and talks to you when you press the buttons. You roll all over the floor playing with it! Of course your MOST favorite things to play with are the wii remotes and computer cords (both of which you’re NOT allowed to play with)! You are very persistent about going back to them too!

No teeth yet! We are still waiting for your first tooth to come in so you can eat more foods, but there is no sign of it yet!  You love to read books with mommy and daddy and will sit for 20 minutes at a time to read!

Micah, you are such a precious little baby and we have enjoyed every minute of watching you grow and change! You make us smile and laugh every day and it’s impossible to be in a bad mood for long with you around! I pray that you continue to be healthy and happy and that you learn to love Jesus with all your heart! I love you!

Love, Mommy

Micah will love reading these things when he is older...nice to have a history and a picture. Dad is impressed that you are keeping up the tradition of writing :-)

I can't see your writing very well on the new setting you have there...but very pretty trees! Gabe just got my old blog site up and running...weird...might switch someday. :-) You know, the front teeth that come in don't help them chew...just bite...which is actually more dangerous...no more gnawing on things...just biting them off... you have to wait until they get their molars (Joel just got them:) to be able to chew better...although their gums can work on stuff pretty well too...anwyay, just a word of caution from the Queen of freaking about choking ;-)

I love his Moose shirt Micah has on. Goodness he is growing so fast. I have to second Mama on this one and say even though he is a boy, he is going to so appreciate these letters and history of life you are recording for him. Very precious! Good job with this Molly. You are a great MOM! Love you Friend.

Molly, this is just so awesome to write a letter to your little boy! It made me smile to think of his smile when he wakes up and greets you. It makes me sad that I miss so much of his growing and soso proud to be his grandma. He is a precious child of God and has such precious parents. Love to all you you!
